Vietnam: Hanoi continues to promote its role as the economic leader
At the meeting, Director of Planning and Investment Nguyen Manh Quyen said that Hanoi’s socio-economic status in 2017 achieved quite comprehensive results. Economic growth was quite satisfactory, completing the plan and reaching 8.5%.

Stable market, the average consumer price index increased by 3.05-3.11%. Total turnover of goods sold and services revenue increased by 10.3%. Bank credit is well developed, meeting the need of good circulation and capital for production.
Export turnover is estimated at $11.54 billion, up 8%. Tourist arrivals were estimated at 23.83 million, up 9%. Of which, international arrivals increased by 23% to 4.95 million.

Investment and business environment has been improved significantly: Business registration for 25,160 enterprises, up 11%, registered capital of 240 trillion VND (up 4%), and the number of enterprises in the province was 231.92 thousand.
