Thailand: BORDER TRADE TIPPED TO GROW 4% IN 2019
The International Institute for Trade and Development forecasts that Thailand’s border trade will see growth of 4 per cent in 2019 compared with this year, reflecting sustained demand for Thai products from neighbouring countries, the institute’s director and secretary, Kamalinne Pinitphuvadol, said yesterday.
He said that from January to August this year, the border trade was recorded at Bt742.27 billion, up 4.33 per cent from the same period of last year. The figures represented the value of border trade with Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia, he said.
