Thailand: August exports fall 4% y/y, worse than forecast

Customs-cleared exports dropped 4% in August from a year earlier, after unexpectedly rising in the previous month, the commerce ministry said on Friday.

 The decline in August was bigger than a Reuters poll forecast of a 2% fall in shipments, the main driver of Thai growth, and compared with an increase of 4.28% in July.
