Philippines: Gov’t: State-Owned Enterprises Assets Expected to Reach Rp7,200tn

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – State-owned Enterprises (SOE) Minister Rini Soemarno set a target of the total assets of SOEs in 2017 to reach Rp 7,200 trillion, higher than those of 2016 as much as Rp 6,300 trillion.

“In 2017, the value of assets has to reach Rp 7,200 trillion and the profit increases from Rp 163 trillion in 2016 to Rp 205 trillion,” Rini said wile attending the 28th anniversary of BUMN in Yogyakarta on Friday (21/4).

Rini believed that the Rp 163 trillion profit gained in 2016 resulted from a good and increasing synergy among state-owned enterprises. She also claimed that to reach the targeted increase in 2017 requires hard work, cooperation and better synergy among state-owned enterprises.

The 28th BUMN anniversary was held on April 21-22, 2017 in Yogyakarta and Central Java. In the event, more than Rp 13 billion is awarded to 18 grantees as part of BUMN CSR. The event also emphasizes the need of greater synergy to support the development of Indonesia.
