Jollibee to bring home Vietnam’s Pho 24
MANILA, Philippines — Homegrown fast-food giant Jollibee Foods Corp. ($JFC) announced on Wednesday it will bring Vietnamese noodle house Pho 24 to the Philippines.
Pho 24 will be introduced to the country through JFC’s wholly-owned subsidiary Fresh N’ Famous Foods Inc., which also runs fast-food chain Chowking.
Pho 24, which serves rice noodles soup called “pho” and other traditional Vietnamese dishes, is owned and operated by the SuperFoods Group, JFC and Viet Thai International’s 60-40 joint venture.
“… JFC disclosed that the SuperFoods Group aims to serve consumers in Asia and key cities in the world high quality and healthy Vietnamese food at affordable prices through the Pho 24 brand,” the listed company told the stock exchange.
JFC, which has a market capitalization of more than P300 billion, operates the largest food service network in the Philippines. As of end-March, the company was operating 2,895 restaurant outlets in the country.
Aside from Pho 24, the SuperFoods Group also owns and operates the Highlands Coffee brand, as well as franchises Hard Rock Cafe in Vietnam, Macau, and Hong Kong.
