Indonesia: Central Bangka in Need of Investors, Regent Says
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Central Bangka Regent Ibnu Saleh admitted that investments are needed to develop potentials in a number of sectors.
“We welcome investors interested to invest in this region in any sectors. We are ready to accept with open arms,” he said in Koba on Saturday (24/2).
He expressed such a statement in response to a number of developments in various sectors one of which is the development of Solar Power Generator (PLTS) and Coal-fired Power Plants (PLTU) working together with a third party.
“For the development of PLTS, there were two investors expressing interest, but there has not been any follow-up. Meanwhile, we have received good response for our PLTU development from Korean investor,” he said.
Ibnu Saleh went on by saying that Central Bangka holds a lot of potentials yet to be developed, but investors are needed due to the limitation of regional funds.
