Indonesia: 3 Industries Eligible to Receive Govt’s Tax Allowance Policy

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution explained that there are three industrial groups that can utilize the tax allowance facility.

The following are the 3 industrial groups eligible to receive the tax allowance:

1. The first group that can receive the tax allowance is the groups of goods that are eligible for a tax holiday but with a smaller investment value.

2. Industrial groups that are active at the downstream level but is not integrated with its upstream level will be able to receive the tax allowance.

3. Lastly is the industry that is export oriented or industries that are able to create ample job opportunities.

Previous reports state that the government would grant tax reduction up to 80 percent which depends on the investment value that will be invested.

The government is currently finalizing the tax allowance policy that will be stated in the revised Government’s Regulation (PP) No 18/2015.
