Thai Brands Promoted At Top Thai Brands 2018 In Vientiane
(KPL) Top Thai Brands 2018 was officially launched on Mar 7 drawing almost 200 booths representing more than 140 companies from Laos and Thailand.
The week-long exhibition was opened in the presence of trade officials, entrepreneurs and business people of Laos and Thailand.
Co-organized by the Department of Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Laos and the Department of International Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand at Lao ITECC, Vientiane, the exhibition will last through Mar 11.
Exhibited and on sales include a wide range of products of various industries namely food, agriculture, electronics, education, renewable energy, and products labelled One District One Product (ODOP) of Laos.
“This event aims to promote trust among consumers in neighbouring countries in the competitiveness of Thai products which are of quality and standard,” said Ms Yani Srimichai, Trade Attaché, embassy of Thailand in Vientiane.
“This event is a gathering of entrepreneurs, business people from Thailand to inspire Lao entrepreneurs to increate the bilateral trade between the two countries. Its main objective is to promote entrepreneurial and business networking between Laos and Thailand,” said Ms Yani.
Seminars have been also scheduled to take place on the sidelines of the exhibition. The seminars will be conducted by high profiled business leaders from Thailand including the world acclaimed designer and President of Thai Product Design Association Mr Somsana Kungvarn who will equip local entrepreneurs with knowledge of packaging.
The first Top Thai Brands was held in Cambodia in February. The second edition is being held in Laos. The event will be also held in Vietnam, China, and Malaysia.
A business matching is also being held for Lao and Thai business people of real estate, hotels, entertainment venues, construction, wholesales business, food and electronics.
