Cambodia: Two investment projects approved by CDC
The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has issued investment certificates to NS Industrial Co., Ltd., and Lonso (Cambodia) Garment Co., Ltd., to invest in the production of cardboard boxes and clothes.
The two new projects, with a total investment capital of $6.4 million, will be located in Khan Pursenchey, Phnom Penh capital, and Samrong district, Takeo province, pointed out the CDC in an announcement issued this afternoon.
The newly-approved projects are expected to create some 2,571 jobs for the locals, it added.
Since early this month, CDC has given green light to 12 investment projects, including the above-said projects, with a total capital of more than $1.14 billion, generating some 6,500 job opportunities.
Such investment amid COVID-19 outbreak demonstrates confidence of investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability though threatened by the pandemic. Phal Sophanith – AKP
