Cambodia: PM reaffirms commitment to Curb COVID-19 and secure growth
Premier underlines his determination to steer the country towards controlling the pandemic and economic growth.
Cambodia’s Prime Minister has reaffirmed the Royal Government’s utmost commitment to overcome COVID-19 challenges, while updating them on attained milestones and achievements.
Prime Minister Hun Sen underlined the points in his recent message to the people to welcome the occasion of the upcoming Khmer New Year.
The Royal Government will continue to take firm measures to ensure the welfare of every Cambodian, especially by containing the deadly COVID-19 disease threatening their health and livelihood, wrote the Prime Minister.
He continued that the government will at the same time maintain the focus on securing peace and political stability, and macroeconomic stability.
Along with the commitment, Mr Hun Sen provided some highlights of the government’s key interventions to contain and respond to the fallouts of the pandemic being faced by Cambodia.
He reiterated the right pathway by the Royal Government at the country, regional and global arenas bringing about political stability and rapid growth.
While stressing the continuous comprehensive reforms across all sectors, the Prime Minister also underscored milestones and achievements in Cambodia’s trade and economy, investments, energy, transport, tourism, agriculture and beyond, and thanked all stakeholders contributing to the efforts.
He concluded with extending best wishes to His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, and Her Majesty Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, Queen-Mother of Cambodia, and his officials and people. Lim Nary – AKP
