Cambodia: Profit-tax revenue leads first half surge

Thu, 14 July 2016 – Cambodia’s tax department collected $829 million in tax revenue during the first half of the year, 18 per cent more than during the same period a year earlier, led by surge in profit-tax revenue, according to government data released late on Tuesday.

Figures provided by the General Department of Taxation (GDT) did not break down the revenue share by tax category, but indicated that profit-tax revenue soared 58 per cent during the period.
