Cambodia: Inflation rate drops to 4.9 pct says Ministry of Economy

In the third quarter of 2022, average inflation fell to 4.9 percent compared to the previous quarter’s inflation rate, which was at 7.4 percent.

This is according to the Economic and Financial Statistics Bulletin for the third quarter of 2022. The third quarter economic and financial statistics bulletin was released by the Ministry of Economy today.

The report of the price index shows that increase of diesel is at 38.5 percent, regular gasoline at 13.6 percent and gas at 16.7 percent.

In the third quarter of 2022, the average price of crude oil was $96.6 per barrel, up 34.6 percent, and the price of rice was $429.3 per tonne.

According to the Ministry of Economy, the inflation rate in the third quarter fell, while the Cambodian economy in the third quarter of this year has been recovering through the increase of international tourists,

construction projects, investment projects and the growth of domestic production.
