Brunei sees increase in business registrations
Some 200 business registrations have been recorded since the start of the second COVID-19 wave last month, said Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah at a press conference yesterday. The minister was encouraged by the positive development and saw the trend as part of the nature of business.
“Some businesses might be facing problems while others see an opportunity to venture into entrepreneurship,” he added.
However, the minister foresees a decline in new business registrations this month.
He also encouraged new business owners to register on www.ocp.mofe.gov.bn along with the payment.
“The business registration certificate will be sent via email,” added Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew.
