Bangkok listed No.2 on YouDiscover site

Bangkok ranked second on the online travel platform YouDiscover’s 2019 list of the top 15 destinations for travellers in Southeast Asia, behind Siem Reap and ahead of Singapore. 
The locations were chosen from 93 destinations in 11 countries, with top cities characterised by a diverse mix of tourist infrastructure, range of activities, fair costs and proximity to beautiful sites. 
The guide lists Bangkok with the most accommodation options, with 4,399 hotels, while Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei, has the fewest number of hotels, with just 44. 
Bangkok also had the cheapest accommodation costs at just over 1,000 baht a night, while Singapore had the most expensive at about 2,100 baht a night. 
Bangkok has almost 7,000 restaurants, while Battambang, Cambodia has just 92. The site also ranked Bangkok first in number of activities with 1,801, while Vientiane, Laos, ranked last with just 33. 
Major cities Bangkok, Singapore (third place) and Kuala Lumpur (15th), secured their spots on the list thanks to diverse nightlife, activities and entertainment. 
Siem Reap in Cambodia (first place), Da Nang in Vietnam (fifth) and Bandar Seri Begawan (seventh), earned their positions because of proximity to some of the world’s wonders. 
With 309 sights, Singapore has the most places worth seeing in Southeast Asia, while Battambang, has the least. TripAdvisor, Wikipedia and blogs were used as sources.
