ASEAN’s potentials attract Brazil
JAKARTA, 20 June 2016 ? ASEAN’s vibrant economy and vast market with large young population are valuable potentials for Brazil to tap on, said the new Ambassador of Brazil to ASEAN, H.E. Rubem Antonio Corr?a Barbosa. He added that Brazil is encouraged with ASEAN’s dynamism and will work closely with the region to foster stronger ties.
Ambassador Barbosa presented his letter of credence to H.E. Le Luong Minh, Secretary-General of ASEAN, at the ASEAN Secretariat on 17 June. Ambassador Barbosa is the third Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil accredited to ASEAN, succeeding H.E. Paulo Alberto Soares who completed his tenure last year. Prior to his appointment as Brazilian Ambassador to ASEAN, Ambassador Barbosa was the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Australia.
