Cambodia: CDC approves four new projects worth more than $100 million
Cambodia continues to attract large investments, with the latest being four CDC-approved investments worth more than $100 million.
This is according to a senior official of the Council for the Development of Cambodia. the official said that after the simplification of the Law on Investment and the provision of new opportunities, Cambodia attracted many large investment projects.
The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) announced on 19 July that it has decided to issue registration certificates for four additional investment projects, including:
The project to establish a solar panel factory “L-Q New Energy Co Ltd”, located in UBE Snoul Special Economic Zone, Kratie. The project has an investment capital of $84.5 million and could create 1,000 jobs;
The project to establish a factory to produce and process steel pipes and process all kinds of steel pipes “Eastcam Casting Co., Ltd.” located in Shandong Sansel Special Economic Zone, Svay Rieng City, Svay Rieng. The project has an investment of $5.8 million and could create about 200 jobs;
The project to establish a plywood producing factory, “MEGA HARDWOOD CO., LTD”, located in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone (SSEZ). The project has an investment of $5 million and could create about 300 jobs; and
The project to establish a garment factory “XIN JIN WEI GARMENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD”, located in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone. The project has a capital of $1.5 million and could create 550 jobs.
