Qatar crisis has no effect on Malaysia’s trade and investment

KOTA BARU: The crisis between Qatar and other Gulf countries has not affected Malaysia’s trade and investment so far, said International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed. 

He said Malaysia had close economic, trade and diplomatic ties with all the countries in the Gulf.
“We have forged good ties with all countries. We have our importance in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Dubai and all Gulf countries,” he told reporters after the breaking of fast in Kota Baru on Thursday.
Recently, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Maldives and Egypt cut diplomatic ties with Qatar following an allegation of it supporting the Islamic militant group, Daesh. – Bernama
