Laos: Laos, Thailand intensify economic ties, amend MoU on labour cooperation
Thursday, 7 July 2016 – A large number of Lao citizens flock to Thailand for job opportunities yearly; Thailand is creating conditions to regulate and legalise migrant workers in the country.
Laos and Thailand have highlighted areas in which they will intensify economic cooperation and signed an amended Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on labour cooperation, Thai media reported yesterday.
The agreement was reached yesterday by the two governments as Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith led a high-level delegation on a two-day official visit to Thailand from July 5 to 6. Read More?
