Cambodia: Bank of America lends PM a hand
Bank of America Corp.’s chairman of its Chinese business will urge more US companies to seek investment opportunities in Cambodia under the umbrella of China’s “One Belt, One Road” socio-economic initiative.
According to Prime Minister Hun Sen’s Facebook post, Margaret Ren met with him at the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in the Swiss resort of Davos yesterday and said she was impressed with Cambodia’s economic growth.
“There will be a meeting between US and Chinese companies in June on the One Belt-One Road initiative and I will urge investors, especially Americans, to seek opportunities in Cambodia in the power, construction and finance sectors,” Ms. Ren was quoted as saying in the Facebook post.
Mr. Hun Sen, in his Facebook post, welcomed Ms. Ren’s initiative and said US investors were always welcome in the country.
Ms. Ren is responsible for Bank of America’s strategic direction in China.
