Ports Department to reduce container charges by 36%

Monday, July 25, 2016 – THE Ports Department yesterday announced it will cut import and export-laden container charges by 36 per cent effective August 1. Additionally, the department has extended its Free Storage period for all import and export containers. Its extension from two to five days is expected to potentially save storage costs for consignees and consignors along with allowing ample time for permit approval processing. Read More?
