Festive season brings in more guests to local hotels
Saturday, July 16, 2016 – LOCAL hotels and homestays have posted higher occupancy rates in the past few days as the Hari Raya festivities and the celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu?izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam?s 70th birthday attracted tourists to the sultanate.
Hoteliers said most of these tourists booked rooms at hotels near the Taman Hj Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien (SOAS).
?Tourists normally want to visit the Sultan?s palace. So, naturally they want to take a look at the parade at the Taman Hj Sir Muda Omar ?Ali Saifuddien and also enjoy the Raya season,? said The Capital Residence Suites General Manager Abd Rani Siteh.
He said the hotel currently has a 75 per cent occupancy rate. Read More?
