The Covid-19 pandemic has spread to almost every country including Brunei Darussalam. The country registered its first confirmed case on March 9 and has since recorded 138 cases. The quick action by the Brunei Government in a whole-of-nation approach and discipline of the public in observing safety advisories helped contain the spread of the disease.

While Brunei has done well in the fight against Covid-19, the public must remain vigilant and not be complacent and always abide by the directives issued by the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
