Thailand: Business approvals for foreign entities

The Department of Business Development approved 22 foreign entities, with a total investment of Bt735 million, to start doing businesses in Thailand in January.

The department’s director-general, Kulanee Issadisai, said most of the investors are Japanese, German and Chinese, and their businesses will create 400 jobs.

Out of the total, four will be providing services to their own business groups, five providing services to customers, and the others will be engaged in the retail and wholesales segments.

Last year, the department gave approval for 270 foreign companies to do businesses here, with a total investment of Bt7.302 billion.
