Myanmar Extends Domestic Flight Ban until November 30
Civil Aviation Department has announced that the domestic flight ban, which ended on November 15, until November 30 amid rising COVID-19 cases in the country
Myanmar has imposed the restrictions on domestic air travel since September 11 after locally transmitted COVID-19 cases soared starting from late August.
The country also extended the international flight ban, imposed on March 30, to November 30.
However, transport flights, relief flights, and special flights with the approval from the Department of Civil Aviation are allowed to land in Myanmar.
Yangon Aerodrome Company Limited (YACL) has suggested travelers check and make inquiries at the airlines’ official Facebook pages and website.
As of November 17, there are over 71,730 confirmed cases with 1,625 deaths and 54,274 recovered.
