Indonesia – Pertamina: More than Rp800bn Needed for One-price Fuel Policy
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – State-owned energy company PT Pertamina Secretary Syahrial Mochtar stated that the fund required to realize one-price fuel policy nationwide reaches Rp800 billion.
“It is likely to increase due to the implementation of the policy in Papua,” he said in Yogyakarta on Saturday (28/10).
The large amount of fund released by Pertamina, Syahrial continued, is part of the corporation’s job not only to seek profit, but also to serve the people.
One-price fuel policy across Indonesia this year is aimed to be implemented in 50 regions in frontier, outermost and remote (3 T) areas. In 2019, government aims at 150 areas. The 3 T areas include Papua, North Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Maluku.
