Cambodia: A new garment factory project approved by CDC
The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has granted green light to a new investment project proposed by Textstar Garment (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.
According to a recent press release of CDC, the private company will invest $5.1 million to build a garment factory in Damnak Tom village 2, Sangkat Stung Meanchey 3, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.
The newly approved project is expected to generate 787 jobs for the locals, the same source added.
Such investment demonstrates confidence of investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability as the country is recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. AKP-C.Nika
