Indonesia: Provide Positive Information for Investors, President Jokowi Says

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo  urged everyone to provide positive information, including Indonesia’s economic information, to investors.

The President made the statement at the opening of the National Coordinating Meeting of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) Bali, Friday.

“Indonesia’s economic growth in 2016 reached 5,02 percent and the low inflation rate at 3.02 percent is a good thing to attract investors to make investment in Indonesia. This good condition must be informed to investors,” the President said.

President Jokowi also called on everyone to always be optimistic towards Indonesia’s economic condition although some aspects have to be improved.

“When we work, we have to be optimistic,” the President added.
