Indonesia: Indonesia`s Economy Remains Stable: IMG

Central bank Bank Indonesia (BI) welcomed the good result of the assessment of the International Monetary Fund (IM) of Indonesia’s economy in 2016.

The IMF considered that Indonesia has managed to keep the stability of its macro economy and adjusted to the external changes.

“We appreciate and welcome the assessment by the IMF,” said BI Governor Agus D.W. Martowardojo on Saturday (4/2).

Agus added although Indonesia is facing a number of risks, the outlook of the country’s economy remains positive and better than that in the previous years.

IMF considered that Indonesia’s macroeconomic policies, coupled with its structural reforms have helped Indonesia in facing a number of challenges.
