Cambodia’s transport and logistics sector to be shaken up to be more competitive
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) is working to further ease Cambodia’s transport logistics to bring more competitiveness among other countries in the region.
The endeavour was highlighted by Senior Minister Sun Chanthol in a meeting at the ministry with a working group to address challenges for the Cambodia-Vietnam and Cambodia-Thailand border crossings.
According to the senior minister, Cambodia is working with both the Thai and Vietnamese counterparts to identify efficient routes for cross-border transport, especially at the Stung Bot-Ban Nong Ian and the Bavet- Moc Bai.
The minister encouraged the tasked working group to keep up the hard work to transform Cambodia’s transport logistics to a new level with the utilisation of new technologies.
Better logistics will reduce transportation cost and save time, resulting in a more competitive product pricing. Phal Sophanith – AKP
