Cambodia’s trade valued at over $13 billion in first quarter
The total trade volume between Cambodia and its partners reached $13.162 billion in the first quarter of this year, up 9.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
Figures from the General Department of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Economy and Finance showed that Cambodia exported $5.716 billion worth of products to foreign markets, a year-on-year increase of 25.7 percent.
At the same time, the Kingdom’s imports saw a decrease by 0.9 percent to $7.445 billion.
The U.S. is the biggest market for Cambodia’s exports during the said period, amounting to $2.150 billion, up 43.7 percent, following by Vietnam, Thailand, and China with $758.8 million, $248.5 million, and $333.5 billion, respectively.
On the other hand, Cambodia imported $2.551 billion worth of goods and raw materials from China, a 30.1 percent increase compared to the first three months of 2021. Chea Vannak – AKP
