Cambodia-Thailand aims to allow self-driving tourists to cross border
Cambodia and Thailand will review policies to push for self-driving tourists passing through the two countries to boost the number of tourists.
This took place on March 2, when Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism allowed Cherdkiat Atthakor, Thai ambassador to Cambodia to meet and discuss about the work.
Minister of Tourism Thong Khon said that the two sides agreed to encourage mutual tourists and tourists from third countries to visit the both countries under the “Two Kingdom one destinations” and both sides also decided to review the promotion of self-driving tourists.
the Minister added that he will ask the head of the Royal Government to study how to encourage tourists to drive from Thailand to Cambodia and from Cambodia to Thailand can continue to visit tourist sites through the border card mechanism, because Thailand has done the same with Laos and Myanmar.
