High demand for budget phones cuts retailers profit
Thursday, July 28, 2016 – THE Raya season may boosted mobile phone sale volume, but retailers note their profits are lower compared with last years as most clients bought cheaper models. Premium brands like iPhone entail higher profit margins and sell for at least $700 per unit. But phone retailers said most customers are buying cheaper brands that retail for as low as $100 a piece.
