Indonesia: Customs and Excise Revenue in June Reaches Rp57.59 Trillion
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Finance Ministry’s Customs and Excise Directorate General (DJBC) reported revenue of customs and excise up to mid-June 2017 to reach Rp57.59 trillion or around 30.12 percent from the target.
“Compared to the previous year, it is higher, it increases around 4.7 percent,” DJBC Revenue and Regulation of Customs and Excise director Sugeng Aprianto said in Jakarta on Thursday, June 22.
From the revenue, he explained that import duties revenue reached Rp 15.6 trillion or increased 2.6 percent compared to the same period last year with Rp15.2 trillion.
Furthermore, excise tax revenue reached Rp40.2 trillion or increased 10.6 percent in the same period of 2016 which recorded a revenue of Rp36 trillion.
Meanwhile, customs tax revenue reached Rp1.6 trillion or rose 44.3 percent from the revenue of the same period last year with Rp1.1 trillion.
“A total of Rp57.59 trillion was earned compared to the revenue in the same period last year as much as Rp52 trillion, with Rp4.7 trillion of margin or 8.9 percent of growth year on year,” Sugeng said.
