Indonesia: Gov’t to Implement One-Price Fuel Policy in 54 Areas This Year

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Ignasius Jonan said the government is focused on implementing one fuel price policy in 3T regions (the frontier, outermost and remote regions).

The minister added that the program is also aimed at reducing disparity of basic commodity and fuel prices all over Indonesia.

Therefore, Jonan said, this year the government hopes that the one-price fuel program can be implemented in 54 areas.

“Now it’s been implemented in 23 areas,” Jonan said on Saturday.

Jonan further said that to implement the program, the government needs more fuel distribution agents.
