Dai-ichi Ready to Deliver its “Peace of Mind” Propositions to Myanmar

Dai-ichi Life Insurance Myanmar announced that it is ready to deliver its “Peace of Mind” propositions to the Myanmar community as it celebrates the 118th. anniversary of Dai-ichi Life Group on September 15.

Founded in 1902 by Tsuneta Yano, The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company was the first mutual life insurance company in Japan and has since expanded into nine countries, serving over 66 million customers.

“We are extremely proud of Dai-ichi Life’s longevity and are excited to continue to bring its principles to Myanmar while also striving to ensure that people live a limitless life knowing that Dai-ichi Life will be by their side, serving our customers to meet their financial goals, thereby enhancing their financial security in any stage of life,” said Daw Zarchi Tin, the Chief Executive Officer of Dai-ichi Life Insurance Myanmar.

Last year, the government granted insurance licenses to five foreign-owned life insurers, three joint-venture life insurance companies, and three joint-venture general insurance companies. Dai-Ichi Life Insurance Myanmar is among five foreign-owned life insurance companies and the only life insurance company that appointed Myanmar citizen as the CEO.

The other foreign-owned life insurers are AIA Myanmar Life Insurance, Chubb Life Insurance Myanmar, Dai-ichi Life Insurance Myanmar, Manulife Myanmar Life Insurance, and Prudential Myanmar Life Insurance.

Dai-ichi Life Insurance Myanmar appointed the MMA champion Aung La N Sang as the Ambassador and has rolled a number of products namely, Dai-ichi Life Pro, Dai-ichi Credit Life, and Htar-Wa-Ra Edu Goal as well as Dai-ichi People First Fund, where Dai-ichi Life Insurance Myanmar provides customers with an additional allowance of 150,000 Kyats daily for up to 10 days (up to 1.5 Million Kyats in total) if they are hospitalized due to COVID-19. If the customer were to decease unexpectedly from a COVID-19 infection, an additional 3 Million Kyats will be provided to the beneficiary.
