According to the company residents in the capital can now buy groceries, packaged food, healthcare products, beauty products and gifts via the Grab app and have it delivered in under 1 hour.

Khmer Times trailed the mobile application from our Phnom Penh, BKK 1 office building and was presented with four stores to select a range of items from (Thai Hout, Kiwi Mart, Ucare Pharmacy, and Winest Cambodia) all offered approximately 30 minute delivery times and quoted a 5,000 Khmer riel delivery fee.
According to the company, as this is the initial launch phase, the service will only be available in central Phnom Penh and customers will have to pay their delivery driver in cash with orders limited to a maximum of $40. But the company states they have plans to expand the service to the rest of Phnom Penh in the near future, with more merchant-partners to be on boarded soon.
“We are introducing new services to help Cambodians get through the new realities of the pandemic and will use our technology however we can to introduce and scale new services to help everyone in need. This is also an opportunity for our driver-partners to earn additional sources of income,” said Grab Country Head Hashim Alkaff.
“At a time like this where people need immediate solutions to address mobility gaps during this difficult time, our on-demand services will be there to help,” he said.
