Vietnam: GrabFood expands to more cities
HCM CITY — Grab has announced that its food delivery service, GrabFood, will be expanded to 12 more cities and provinces in Vietnam, taking the total number where it is available to 15.
They are Can Tho, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hue, Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Da Lat, Phan Thiet, Buon Ma Thuot, and Hoi An.
Grabfood said there has been tremendous growth in the use of its app by consumers, merchants and delivery partners, making it the fastest growing food delivery service in the country.
The number of orders has increased by 25 times in the last seven months, it said.
“Thanks to our large delivery network, we have been able to reduce our average delivery time to just 20 minutes in central HCM City and Hanoi, making us the most efficient food delivery service in Vietnam,” Demi Yu, regional head of GrabFood Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines, said.
Grab said it continues to innovate to provide the best experience for customers. All customers receive GrabRewards points for every order and can be used to redeem deals from the company and its partnering merchants, it said.
Soon customers in the 12 new provinces and cities will be able to pay with GrabPay by Moca.
Grab is one of the most frequently used O2O mobile platforms in Southeast Asia, providing some vital everyday services.
Its app has been downloaded over 130 million times. — VNS
