Philippine, Cambodian delegations negotiate rice prices
The Philippines has shown great interest in the quality of Cambodian rice and the two sides are negotiating prices to achieve rice trade.
The interest expressed to a delegation from the Ministry of Commerce and the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF), during their visit to the Philippines from February 1-3.
The delegation was led by Kim Srey Roth, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, and Chan Sokheang, President of the CRF. The delegation travelled to the Philippines to study the rice market in the Philippines.
A press release from the CRF states that during the market study visit, the Cambodian delegation met with Alfredo E. Pascual, Secretary of Trade and Industry of Philippines, and other stakeholders on rice imports.
The Philippines is very interested in the quality of Cambodian rice and a direct commercial contract according to the quantity, quality and price agreed between the two parties.
During the visit, the Cambodian delegation met with importers in the country as well.
