New private home sales in Singapore rise 9% in October

NEW private home sales inched upwards by 9 per cent in October, countering the dip in the previous month. Developers in Singapore sold 909 new private homes last month, against the 834 sold in September.

However, including executive condominiums (ECs), sales eased 19.4 per cent to 1,045 from September’s 1,296.

Monday’s (Nov 15) figures were slightly higher compared to consultant’s flash estimates published by The Business Times on Friday (Nov 12).

Last month, most of the sales excluding ECs were in the outside of central region. The segment sold 347 units or 38.2 per cent of October’s sales. Meanwhile the rest of central region and core central region each sold 281 homes or 30.9 per cent of the month’s total.
