Laos, Thailand Seek for Strengthening Trade, Investment and Tourism

(KPL)  Northern provincial authorities Luang Prabang and Xayaboury and Thailand’s  Loei and Phetchabun provinces have recently met in Loei province to discuss strengthening cooperation in the frameworks of trade, investment, tourism, culture, education, sports and business operation.

Lao delegation was led by Xayaboury Vice Governor, Mr Yunyong Sypaserth met with Loei and Phetchabun Governors and relevant officials.

The objective aims to strengthen the existing bilateral cooperation among four provinces in many areas of trade, investment, tourism, culture, education, sports and business operation, Xayaboury Vice Governor Yunyong said.

The event saws to be an important contribution to the socio-economic development and great favourable to business operators along Laos and Thailand common border in the era of AEC.

The meeting has unanimously agreed to request Lao and Thai governments in cooperation with business operators to promote trade border forward to international system.

Two sides have agreed to arrange passenger bus service plying between two countries to provide a favourable for Lao and Thai traders and investors.

In the area of education cooperation, they have pledged to organise training courses for technical officials and students to exchange lessons so as to create an opportunity for practising their work concerns, knowledge and skills with each other.

To promote mutual cooperation in tourism and culture, meeting agreed to exchange and join cultures through traditional festivals and other auspicious event between provinces.
