Laos: Malaysia Food Festival 2017 Launched
Malaysian Ambassador to Laos Modh Aini Atan has encouraged Vientiane residents and foreigners to join Malaysia Food Festival 2017 at Malaysia Embassy in Vientiane Capital.
The food festival is opened from 11:00 am to 20.00 pm between the 19th and 20th December, 2017.
The festival draws Malaysian specialties from 19 restaurants and hotels in Laos. Several travel agencies are also represented at the festival.
The event also featured many activities such as kid coloring competition and kid singing contest.
Festival goers can enjoy the Malaysia temptation delicacies such as SATAY, ABC and NASI LEMAK.
Any participant spending 40,000 KIP or above will be given a chance to win lucky draw, and book cheap package tour to Malaysia with local agencies at the event for New Year holiday with friend and families.
The Malaysia Food Festival is organized by Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia Embassy to Laos.
Malaysia is ranked the 4th largest foreign investor in Laos following China, Vietnam and Thailand. Its investment goes to a number of projects in hydropower industry, special economic zones and services.
In 2016, Malaysia’s bilateral trade with Laos recorded an increase of 74.5 percent amounting to USD31 million compared to USD17.7 million in 2015 while Malaysia’s investments in Laos is valued at over USD1 billion with 103 registered projects.
