Cambodia: Takeo Province suspends business at Sai Va Market in Prey Pdao Commune, Prey Kabas district

The Takeo Provincial Administration, has decided to temporarily suspend all business activities in the “Saiwa Market”, Saiwa Village, Prey Pdao Commune, Prey Kabas District, Takeo Province.

Takeo has declared these zone as a Covid-19 hotzone as many Covid-19 positive cases had frequented the market and its vicinity and has affected many o=people, without providing specifics.

The closure of the market took effect from midnight yesterday and is for an indefinite period of time.

Takeo has experienced an extraordinary surge in Covid-19 positive cases in the past week.
